Bianconeri react to Super Cup triumph

There will be an extra passenger on the plane back to Turin as Juve leave Saudi Arabia with the Italian Super Cup thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's match-winning header against AC Milan.

“It was a really tough match. It was hot and not easy to play here. We fashioned lots of chances and played well.

“I'm delighted not just to have scored but also to have won my first trophy with Juventus. It's a good start to 2019 and this is something I really wanted. I'm happy. We have to keep it up now as we have lots more targets to achieve.

“I'd like to dedicate this trophy to everyone who loves Juve... and Cristiano.”

“Hopefully it won't be our last trophy of the season. We've started 2019 on the right foot after advancing in the Coppa Italia. We dominated the game today and deserved to win.”

On the current Juve side compared to last season: “It's similar to last year but with a match-winner in Cristiano Ronaldo up front.”

On playing at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium: “We really enjoyed it here. There was a good atmosphere. Now we have a trophy to take home!”

“It was important to start the year well and we produced a fine performance today. It wasn't easy playing in this heat but we're delighted to have won the trophy. AC Milan showed no fear and played well themselves.

“We're really pleased with the warm welcome we've been given here in Saudi Arabia too.”
